Overnight shooting at gathering in Gardena leads to man’s death; 2 others injured  The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is investigating what led up to the shooting death of a man at a party in Gardena. According to LASD, deputies from the Compton Station responded to the 100 block of West 155th Street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning on calls of a gunshot victim. Upon arriving on scene, they found the victim, only identified as an 18 to 21-year-old Black man, had been transported to a local hospital for apparent gunshot wounds to the chest. He was subsequently pronounced deceased, authorities said. Deputies later discovered that two additional gunshot victims – an 18-year-old Hispanic man and an 18-year-old Black man – were also transported to area hospitals. They were listed in stable condition. Tracy man arrested for allegedly killing his 65-year-old mother Police have arrested a man accused of killing his 65-year-old mother in Tracy.Carla Carroll was found dead in her home on Thicket Court on Friday night with at least one gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Michael Richards, a public information officer at the Tracy Police Department. By the following morning, detectives had booked her 26-year-old son, Spencer Carroll, also from Tracy, into the San Joaquin County Jail.Though the investigation into Carroll’s death is ongoing, Richards said there were no other suspects aside from Spencer Carroll. These Denver Public Library locations will be open 7 days a week DENVER (KDVR) -- Several Denver Public Library locations are now open seven days a week thanks to funding from the voter-supported DPL Fund. These library locations will now open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Each library also will open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on one dedicated day of the week, with service running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all other days. Casa Bonita management responds to employees’ complaints The following are the libraries that will be open seven days, as well as each library's dedicated day for extended hours:Green Valley Ranch Branch Library (Thursday)Hadley Branch Library (Wednesday)Hampden Branch Library (Wednesday)Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales Branch Library (Thursday)Sam Gary Branch Library (Wednesday)The funding to open the locations for extended hours came after voters passed measure 2i in November 2022.
