Published Wed, 05 Mar 2025 03:26:47 GMT

(NEXSTAR) - It’s been a week since Taylor Swift seemingly took the sports world by storm when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears, sitting alongside Travis Kelce’s mother, invigorating rumors that the pop star and NFL tight end are dating. While Swift appears to be the Chiefs new biggest fan - unless you count the Swifties that will now be tuning in Sunday night when the Chiefs take on the New York Jets in a game she is again expected to attend - she is hardly the first celebrity spotted rooting for an NFL team. Before Swift, Paul Rudd was arguably considered the biggest celebrity rooting for the Chiefs. He even offered a “kegger [party] at mom’s” after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl earlier this year. It isn’t just the Chiefs. Every NFL team has a star supporter. One of Rudd’s “Wet Hot American Summer” co-stars, Bradley Cooper, was at the Super Bowl in February, cheering for another team: the Philadelphia Eagles. Published Wed, 05 Mar 2025 03:26:47 GMT

(The Hill) - Student loan payments officially resume on Sunday after borrowers were let off the hook for more than three years by a pause initiated during the economic turmoil of the coronavirus pandemic.Despite continued pushback from advocates and concerns about a government shutdown, the Biden administration is turning back on all student loan accounts, and more than 28 million borrowers now have to deal with repayments. “It's a sad day for student loan borrowers and for the country that student loans have to come back on, especially with the threat of a looming government shutdown, potentially on the same day. It's just wild,” Natalia Abrams, president and founder of the Student Debt Crisis Center, said earlier this week. Who qualifies for $0 student loan payments? Back in July, a Life and My Finances survey found half of borrowers say they don’t make enough to afford their student loan payments, while only 22 percent at the time had a plan on how to make their payments.S...

Published Wed, 05 Mar 2025 03:26:47 GMT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In a game the Vikings absolutely had to have on Sunday afternoon, star receiver Justin Jefferson put the team on his back.He finished with 6 catches for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Vikings in a 21-13 win over the Carolina Panthers. That included an exclamation point from Jefferson during which he channeled his inner Randy Moss to help the Vikings create the separation they so desperately needed. After hauling in a jump ball in the end zone, Jefferson slowly lowered a flat palm to the turf, letting the world know that cornerback D’Shawn Jamison is too little to cover him.It sure looked like the Vikings got their swagger back with the win over the Panthers. No doubt there are some things the Vikings still need to fix. There were a couple of interceptions from quarterback Kirk Cousins in the game, meaning the Vikings have now turned the ball over 11 times amid a slow start to this season. That said, the Vikings finally notched their first win, a...
