It was an emotional return to the sky for a South Florida pilot, more than a year after he suffered a health scare behind the wheel.Cameras captured Kenneth Allen piloting a single-engine Cessna 208 this weekend.“Engine looks good,” he said.They’re words he has repeated a million times, but Allen said preparing to fly is different now.“It’s like a ton of bricks fell off my shoulders. A retired Miami-Dade Police officer faced a judge a day after a 16-hour SWAT standoff in a Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood ended with her being taken away in handcuffs.Former MDPD Lt. Troopers in Davie made a PIT stop after chasing suspected car crooks along Interstate 595.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the agency received a “be on the lookout” from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a stolen Range Rover traveling east on Alligator Alley, Saturday afternoon.Authorities determined the Range Rover was abandoned near Mile Marker 30 on I-75 in Broward County.
