MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) -- A Texas couple was arrested earlier this week after investigators said they allegedly sent sexual messages to a young family member that made her uncomfortable.Byron Hayes, 40, has been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor and Indecency With a Child by Sexual Contact. Samantha Hayes, 33, has been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor and Failure to Report. Both are from Stanton, Texas.According to court documents, on June 22, a Midland County Sheriff's Office investigator received a call from Greenwood ISD about a possible sexual assault after a concerned parent said she found text messages between her child and another child known by the pseudonym XX. WOOD RIVER, Ill. - Authorities are searching for a woman reported missing early Saturday from Wood River, Illinois. Police say a woman named Kansas Butler left with an unknown subject around 2 a.m. Saturday. Since she was last seen, her debit card had been used in Alton and Edwardsville. A motorcyclist was gunned down on a freeway off-ramp in Lancaster, and two people have been arrested in connection with his death. CHP officers responded to the 14 Freeway off-ramp to Avenue L in Lancaster around 2:57 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on reports of a traffic collision with a motorcycle rider down. A second suspect in the "unprovoked" murder of a Long Beach man in June has been arrested. Officers with the Long Beach Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. on June 27 on reports of a shooting death. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, 27-year-old Isaac Marshell IV, was outside of a business when he became involved in an altercation with two other men. “The victim left the scene [and] later returned to the business in his vehicle and parked out front,” LBPD said in a statement. “While the victim was inside his vehicle, the same two male suspects approached him and assaulted him.
